Nestled in the breath taking countryside of the Forest of Dean, Birchwood Cottage offers 5 bedrooms sleeping up to 18 people and 4 bathrooms. This fabulous cottage is situated in a perfect location for your stay, with Aylburton village just a mile walk, the historic town of Monmouth just 20mins and the bustling Castle town of Chepstow just 10mins away. The Forest of Dean offers plenty to do, whether you want to walk in the stunning woodlands just behind the cottage, cycle on one of the many maintained cycle paths, canoe on the River Wye, Zip Slide at Go Ape there is something for everyone.

The cottage offers a very lovely hand built country kitchen with large range cooker and breakfast bar, overlooking the back garden through a wall of windows. The lovely large lounge offers stunning views of the River Severn with two L shape sofas. The cottage has a separate dining room with hand built table seating up to 18 people ideal for entertaining and special occasions. There is also a separate pantry with large fridge, separate freezer and dishwasher.

Three of the bedrooms are upstairs and two of the bathrooms, one en-suite. Bedroom One sleeps up to four people in either a double or twin and a further bunk bed. Bedroom Two sleeps two people in twin beds or a double. Bedroom Three sleeps up to three people in a double bed and a single bed.

There are two bedrooms downstairs, Bedroom Four sleeps three people in a lovely triple bunk; double bed and single bed. Bedroom Five sleeps 6 people, four in two bunk beds and two in a double bed on the mezzanine level above this room. This room also has an en-suite bathroom. There is a further shower room to the rear of the property.

The local village of Aylburton, hosts two pubs that offer great food and atmosphere. Or the Globe in Alvington is excellent for locally sourced food and often has live music and events.

If you are looking for a night out the Castle town of Chepstow is just a 10mins drive and offers a great night out with plenty of bars & restaurants or Bristol is just 35mins away and Gloucester 45mins.

For those looking for outdoor activities, there is a Go Ape just 15mins away, a cycling centre with trails just 15mins away and also canoeing and paddle boarding on the Wye River as well as the Beechenhurst Sculpture Trail and much more.
