A little bit about us…
Box Hedge Farm Events have been established for over 13 years and Box Hedge Farm Hens have been running successful hen weekends at their farm just outside Bristol and Bath for last 6 years. As an established events company we know how to organise events to the last detail and use this knowledge and attention to detail to organise your special weekend.
We are a small, dedicated team committed to making sure your hen weekend is perfect. We own and manage all of our cottages at Box Hedge Farm and will organise your hen weekend from your initial enquiry right through to your departure making sure your weekend is a memorable and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
We are a family run business running approx. 100 hen weekends a year, and pride ourselves on our commitment to making sure every hen weekend is a success, however big or small. We appreciate how important this special occasion is to you!
Box Hedge Farm
Box Hedge Farm offers a perfect location for your hen weekend, nestled amongst the beautiful countryside almost equal distance between the cultural cities of Bristol and Bath. It has great motorway links and is located close to a number of picturesque villages such as the market town of Chipping Sodbury.
The Farm is also ideally located to a number of more practical local amenities such as; Emerson’s Green Shopping Centre, this large shopping centre is home to Sainsbury’s, Boots, Costa and Argos, so you can leave your food shop until you get to us. The Mall @ Cribbs Causeway which is one of the biggest shopping centres in the West, Chipping Sodbury a picturesque local market town with an abundance of village charm, shops and tea rooms.
Bristol has long been recognised as one of England~s finest cities combining West Country beauty with a vibrant town. Visitors to this cosmopolitan city will be spoilt for choice, whether you want to take in the sights of the city, including a visit to the Zoo, Harbourside, Clifton Suspension Bridge and SS Great Britain or visit some of the areas many fine restaurants, bistros, pubs, and clubs.
Bristol is a distinguished city and hosts an outstanding programme of events through the year including the Harbour Regatta and the world famous International Balloon Festival. Visitors can see a play at the historic Bristol Old Vic, watch a West End musical at the Hippodrome and listen to the best in music at the Colston Hall. Bristol also boasts an enormous range of shops, with the new and exciting Cabot Circus hosting the fantastic Harvey Nichols.
Bath is one of the most beautiful cities the West Country has to offer, combining the vibrancy of a Cosmopolitan city with a great selection of shops, wine bars and restaurants with a town stooped in history and cultural ambience. There are many attractions to visit including the new Thermae Bath Spa, the Roman Baths and Pump Room, Royal Crescent and the Theatre Royal.
You can take a punt or boat trip up the Kennet and Avon Canal to take in the sights at a more leisurely pace, stopping off on the way for a pint or picnic or take an open top tour bus of this beautiful city. Bathhas a fantastic selection of restaurants to offer you with names such as Hugh Fernley Whittingstall’s canteen in the Komedia Comedy club and Jamie Oliver’s Italy, as well as some delightful independent bistros hidden in the beautiful cobbled back streets of this great city
